Earning HellDrinx Coins (In-Game)

The primary way to earn coins in Project Zomboid is by killing zombies. Each kill awards coins based on the zone you're in

Kill Zombies

Every zombie kill earns HC. The amount is multiplied by your current zone's difficulty. Very Hard zones give 2x, Easy zones give 0.5x

Combat XP Boost

Zone multipliers also apply to combat skill XP: Aiming, Reloading, Nimble, Sprinting, Strength, Fitness, Axe, Long Blade, Short Blade, Long Blunt, Short Blunt, Spear, Maintenance

Transfer from Discord

Use /sendcointogame on Discord to transfer your Discord HC balance to your in-game shop balance. Must be online.

All Zones & Difficulty

The world is divided into zones with difficulty ratings. Your HUD widget shows your current zone, coin multiplier, and XP multiplier in real-time

Sprinters & Loot by Zone

Each difficulty level determines how many sprinters you encounter and the quality of loot that spawns. Higher risk means faster zombies but better gear

DifficultySprinter ChanceLoot Level
Very Hard30% – 100%Very Hard Loot (best gear)
Hard10% – 25%Hard Loot
Medium5% – 15%Medium Loot
Easy3% – 6%Easy Loot (basic only)
Safe Zone0%Easy Loot
Loot Reduction: In harder zones, rare weapons, ammo, armor, and bags spawn more often. In easy zones, these items are heavily reduced — mostly basic supplies

Night & Full Moon

Sprinter chances increase at night. During full moon events, even safe areas can have aggressive zombies. Stay indoors or prepare for a fight

Very Hard Warning

In Very Hard zones, up to 100% of zombies can be sprinters. Every zombie runs at full speed. Only enter with proper gear, weapons, and an escape plan

Horde Siege Events

Server-wide horde events trigger massive zombie waves. During active hordes, all multipliers stack on top of zone bonuses

Horde Active Bonuses

3x

Stacks with zone: Very Hard (2x) + Horde (4x) = 8x coins per kill

Withdraw Coins to Discord

You can send coins back from the in-game shop to your Discord balance. Open the shop widget and use the Withdraw HC button. Coins transfer instantly.

Player Vending Machines

Set up your own automated shop using vending machines. Other players can buy from your stock while you're offline

How It Works

Place a vending machine in your safehouse. Stock it with items and set prices. Other players interact with the machine to purchase. You earn HC passively

Ownership

Only the machine owner can restock and change prices. Machines are protected — other players cannot pick them up or destroy them

Revenue

Revenue from sales is split: portion goes to you (the owner) and a small admin fee goes to the server economy. Check your earnings in the machine UI
